The support for fixing a light fitting to a wall comprises two distinct parts (12A,12B). The first of these is a fixing element (12A) intended for attachment to a wall (11), and the second is the support (12B) which fits on to the fixing element and provides the mounting for the light fitting (10). The second part (12B) includes a main frame part (48) by which the fitting is attached to the fixing element. This may be attached in one of two different orientations, such that the light fitting extends parallel to the wall (as shown) with the connecting section (15) being attached to the centre of the main frame part (48), or such that the light fitting extends at right angles to the wall with the connection section being attached to one end of the main frame part (48). |
