PURPOSE: An early improvement method of soft dredging soil ground and base ground by vacuum, and a floating mat slab are provided to improve the soft dredging soil ground and base ground simultaneously and quickly, and to cut down construction cost by installing the floating mat slab including four-way holes. CONSTITUTION: Plural horizontal drains(6) are installed from the ground level of soft dredging soil ground(3), and vertical drains(7) are constructed to the lower part of soft base ground(2). An upper polyethylene mat(11) and a polyvinyl chloride vacuum curtain(12) are laid on the soft dredging soil ground for closing. A floating mat slab(10) is installed in the surface of soft dredging soil ground, and inner holes(9) are penetrated through the floating mat slab in four directions. Dehydration is performed efficiently from the soft dredging soil ground to the base ground by forming vacuum, and the soft dredging soil ground and the base ground are improved early.
