The player includes a pressing device (5) which acts only on the information-free center region (9) of the storage disk (8). The pressing device is freely rotatable. A receiving plate (14) is frictionally engaged with a pressed-down disk, and consists of a turntable driven by a motor (15). The receiving plate can be brought into contact with the label side (8a) of the storage disk.
