An assembly to treat drinking water has a diverging inlet (5) cover, fitted to a bell housing which tapers to an outlet. The bell housing has a number of radial angled vanes at the widest point. The vanes support a tapering body (13) located along the bell housing centreline. The vanes generate a clockwise or anti-clockwise vortex flow around the tapered body which contains a non-consumable agent within one or more capsules. The capsules contain e.g. ceramic particles, metal filings, metal chips, salts or homeopathic products. The water treatment assembly is fitted to e.g. a kitchen tap.
|
