The device has a variator shaft (1) and a variator pulley (2) moveable on it. An internal non-rotating tube (7) provides for pressure supply. The tube has two sealing rings (73), positioned axially beside each other, for dynamic sealing between pressure feed to a second pressure chamber (8), and pressure feed to the variator pressure chamber (31). The shaft has a ventilation bore (9), which opens into the space between the sealing rings and into an internal transmission chamber (93,94). The variator shaft is a primary or secondary shaft of the variator.
