The device has two electric motors (3,4) on common axis (2) and connected to an intermediate gearwheel housing (5) with the motor output shafts mutually opposed and with gearwheels (11,12) engaged with a gearbox inside the intermediate housing. The gearwheels are spur gears and the gearbox consists of at least one set of gear wheels (14) with which the gear wheels mesh within the housing.
