The connector housing has an opening [3] into which a plug is inserted. Within the housing there are a number of parallel contacts with connection pins [7] in pairs. The contact strip is V shaped with a spring contact section [4] that is deflected when the plug is inserted. The end of this moves to engage the fixed contacts within the housing.
