A battery block is contained in a battery-compartment which has a top lid (1). The emergency cut-out switch is situated on the top side of the battery compartment, and has a fixed (2) and movable (3) plug-in part below the plane of the lid. The connection between the plug-in parts is interrupted by a lever (4) mounted on a spring (5) and rotarily mounted on an axle (8). The spring is supported on part of the lid. The cable (6) leading to the battery block is completely contained in the battery compartment.
