The prosthesis, consisting of a shank (9) designed to be inserted in the medullary canal of a fractured humerus, and a hemispherical head (12) that is fixed to the shank and made to fit into the shoulder socket, has the head made with fixings (20) for the shoulder muscles and bone fragments or tuberosities. The head can be fitted to the shank inany radial plane relative to the shank's axis after fixing the shank in the humerus and the muscles, especially the ends of rotators, and bone fragments to the head
