The annular space (3) is bounded by the radial piston pump (1) and the damper ring (4), itself spaced from the converter housing, thus effectively mechanically decoupled from this. The pump face round space (3) and ring (4) is spaced and similarly mechanically decoupled from the damper ring cover via an interposed flat seal (6). A gap (7) remains between the confronting surfaces of the converter housing (2), pump (1) and damper ring (4), the gap isolated by a vacuum or gas filling and extending over 2 mm. Converter housing and other components are screened against damper ring pulsation.
