System and method for the transmission of data in a security device for a vehicle

The method involves wireless transmission of data from a transmitter unit (1) to a receiver unit (2). After capacitively coupling of the transmitter and receiver units the data are transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver with the aid of a signal produced by a capacitive alternating field. A transmitter sends coded information to a receiver for comparison with predefined coded information for drive generation if they coincide. An Independent claim is also included for a system for activating and/or deactivating a safety device.
