摘要 Apparatus for continuously and simultaneously wet processing a plurality of yarns, preferably regenerated cellulose yarns, comprises a processing roll, a first group of other rolls having their axes substantially lying in a common plane and at differing intervals from said processing roll, and at least one other group of other rolls having their axes substantially lying in another common plane, so that a number of yarns equal to the number of all other rolls may be helically moved along individual paths circumscribing said processing roll and one or more of said other rolls, each path being external to the path or paths which circumscribe one or more rolls nearer to said processing roll. In apparatus shown, 10 is the processing roll, the different sections of which may be kept apart from each other by means of a vacuum applied to perforated bands (not shown), as in Specification 1,044,174, or by flanges or other suitable means, 12 is a guide comb for the yarns, intended to minimize the small differences in the pitch of the helical turns of different yarns which are being processed. The comb teeth are preferably arranged in relation to the yarn paths so that one turn of each yarn only can be passed in the space between two adjacent teeth, and in general, one turn of each one of the yarns being processed is passed therebetween. A tiltingly fitted guide comb, as described in Specification 1,007,154, may be used, 13-16 are forwarding rolls and 17-20 are separating rolls. In Fig. 2 not shown the eight yarns being processed travel along parallel and equal paths on the lower surface of processing roll 10, and then issue form the section 21 thereof, whereupon the yarns e.g. 11C and 11D are diverted from their straight paths by the forwarding roll 14. While the yarn 11C is brought into contact with the separating roll 17, the yarn 11D is separated therefrom, and continues its path of travel towards the separating roll 17, the yarn 11D is separated therefrom, and continues its path of travel towards the separating roll 18, whereupon it is intercalated with the yarn 11E, coming in from the forwarding roll 15, which serves also as support for the yarn 11F, which is diverted in the direction of separating roll 19, and so on. Thus forwarding roll 13 serves only for yarn 11B, the path of which is defined by the rolls 13 and 17. Yarn 11A may also be added to the other seven yarns, coming into contact only with the forwarding roll 13, apart from roll 10. In Fig. 3, not shown five yarns each extruded from an associated spinneret are simultaneously processed. Six auxiliary rolls are fitted, of which roll 13 serves as a guide for two yarns and roll 14 as a guide for three yarns. Each yarn is associated with two rolls. Yarn 11B is associated with rolls 13 and 18, and yarns 11E and 11F are respectively associated with roll pairs 14-19 and 14-20. A further yarn 11A may be added, which will only contact roll 13 and roll 10.
