The call forwarding from a first (1) to a second subscriber (2) starts with transmission of the call number, or identification, of the first subscriber to the second subscriber, in which it is supplied to a call forwarding memory (3). In dependence on a destination address stored in the memory, the call number or a reverse massage is forward to a call service subscriber (4), or to a call forwarding exchange. This step is carried out via a call or data service. After reception of the call number, the call service subscriber initiates the reverse call to the calling subscriber.
