The fixing device consists of a permanent magnet (3a) and a metal bearing region which under normal conditions lie on top of each other. When the specified inertia for movement of the head rest about a horizontal tilting axis is exceeded, the parts are removed from each other. Preferred Features: The holder is pre-tensioned by a tension spring (4) so that the bearing region and the permanent magnet are in contact.
