Automatic vending machine for fasteners has a housing (1) with a number of vertical compartments (S1-Sn) within each of which is placed a stack of sales packages (V1-Vm). Each compartment contains different types of fasteners. Independent claims are made for packets of fasteners having the same size as cigarette packets so that they can be sold in already existing cigarette vending machines and for use of automatic cigarette dispensers to sell packets of fasteners.
