<p>The brake shoes (17,18) are pressed against the peripheral surface (8) of the wheel with a predetermined force. They are mounted on both sides of the pressure-application point seen in the peripheral direction and cannot rotate. They or the brake mechanism are movable tangentially in relation to the wheel. The mechanism can consist of a C-shaped spring (10) whose ends are fixed to the wheel bracket, while the portion in between presses against the wheel, the shoes being mounted on it either side of the pressure-application point. Actuation can be performed by a component moved in the radial direction towards the wheel.</p> |
