PURPOSE: To efficiently suck, under agitation, a sediment and the like containing massive block and string-like material in a dredging site, a civil engineering site, a sewage treatment plant, and a sedimantation pond, a pit, a manhole or the like in a factory, so as to discharge them to a desirable site. CONSTITUTION: This submerged stirring pump 10 is provided with an impeller casing 11 for storing rotatably impellers 15 driven by a motor 18 in its inside, a stirring material sucking guide cylinder 23 comprising a hollow cylinder with one end opening part penetrated through the central opening 12 of the impeller casing to be communication-connected integrally to the central suction opening part 16 of the impeller 15, and with the other end opening part extended toward a downside to form a stirring material sucking passage 24 in its inside, and stirring blades 25 attached to an outer circumferential part of the other end opening part in the stirring material sucking guide cylinder 23. The stirring material sucking passage 24 formed inside the guide cylinder 23 can secure a sufficiently wide stirring material flow-in area.
