PURPOSE: A suction grille for air conditioner is provided to achieve improved heat exchange efficiency by reducing flow resistance of the air being sucked through the suction grille. CONSTITUTION: A suction grille(70) comprises a main body(72) to be attached to the air inlet port of a cabinet which includes a heat exchanger and a blower; and a plurality of grille unit(74) arranged in the main body of the suction grille, which have suction holes(74a) for sucking indoor air. The grille unit has a width decreasing as it goes from both ends toward the center of the grill unit, so as to reduce flow resistance of the air being sucked through the suction grille. The grille unit includes a plurality of vertical reinforcing ribs(80) arranged, in a vertical direction, at the grille unit; and a plurality of horizontal reinforcing ribs(78) formed integrally with the grille unit, and protruded upward from the grille unit. Each horizontal reinforcing rib has a height increasing as it goes from both ends toward the center of the horizontal reinforcing rib so as to increase strength of the center sucking a large amount of air.
