PURPOSE: A method for executing an instruction on a processor, the processor used for a computer system, and a data processing system are provided to support barrier instructions without having a latently considerable handicap on the performance whenever the barrier instruction is executed. CONSTITUTION: The barrier instruction is executed. During the pendency of the barrier instruction, the instruction issued next to the barrier instruction is deductively executed. After completing the barrier instruction, it is judged that an event making a result of the deductively executed instruction ineffective is occurred during the pendency of the barrier instruction. The deductively executed instruction is flushed by responding to the judgment result.
