PURPOSE: A photochromic color mousse containing a photochromic dye and surfactant is provided. Because the color mousse exhibits a visible change in color in response to exposure to sunlight or other sources of ultraviolet radiation, it permits expression of user's marked individuality. CONSTITUTION: This photochromic color mousse contains 0.1 to 30% by weight of a photochromic dye and 0.1 to 30% by weight of a surfactant. For example, 3g photochromic compound is mixed with a composition comprising 20% by weight of ethanol, 0.2% by weight of methyl paraffin, 69.8% by weight of deionized water and 10% by weight of N-butylalcohol to produce a first mixture, which is mixed with a second mixture comprising 70% by weight of deionized water, 10% by weight of GATQUAT 755N(polyquaternium-11), 0.05% by weight of D-pentenol, 0.10% by weight of DEHYQUATSP(Quaternium-52), 0.05% by weight of F305E(dimethicone/dimethicone copolymer/water), 5.2% by weight of LUVISKOL VA 64W(PVP/VA copolymer), 1.00% by weight of glycerin, 0.50% by weight of MICOPOL LDE(lanramide DEA), 10% by weight of ethanol, 0.2% by weight of DANISOL M(methyl paraffin), 0.15% by weight of GRCHA 103(flavor) and 1.00% by weight of NP-14(nonylphenylether).
