PURPOSE: A method for receiving a signal is provided to obtain a weight value vector by a few calculation quantity so that it is possible to process the signal in real time in mobile communication environment. CONSTITUTION: A random angle(&thgr;1) is estimated as an incident angle of a signal(S10). The random angle(&thgr;1) is updated as a new value(&thgr;2=&thgr;1+Δ)(S11). Steering vectors(a(&thgr;1),a(&thgr;2)) about the random angle(&thgr;1) and the new value(&thgr;2) are obtained(S12). The obtained steering vectors(a(&thgr;1),a(&thgr;2)) are substituted for a criterion vector(f(a(&thgr;))), respectively, and the difference value(f(a(&thgr;2))-f(a(&thgr;1))) of two criterion vectors is calculated(S13). The angle(&thgr;1) is updated as a value(μ(f(a(&thgr;2))-f(a(&thgr; 1))))(S14). It is judged whether the criterion vector(f(a(&thgr;))) is the maximum value(S15). If the criterion vector(f(a(&thgr;))) is the maximum value, the angle is estimated as the incident angle(S16).
