PURPOSE: A protector for absorbing a shock of a vehicle is provided to protect a pedestrian by absorbing the secondary shock applied to the pedestrian colliding against the windshield glass of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A sensor(10) senses the shock energy applied to a hood panel(2) rotatably installed in the upper portion of an engine room. A solenoid(14) operated by the sensing signal of the sensor separates a locking hook(13) combined with a strike(12) to release the locking force of the strike. A first air bag(18) installed on the lower face of the hood panel opens the hood panel. A second air bag(19) installed on the lower face of the front portion of the hood panel expands toward the front face of a windshield glass after the hood panel is opened. |
