METHOD FOR REPLACING GAS ON SEA FOR LPG CARRIER

PURPOSE: A method for replacing gas on the sea for an LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas) carrier is provided to reduce the probability of danger when the LPG is carried to an LPG carrier on the ground from an LPG carrier on the sea. CONSTITUTION: A method for replacing gas on the sea for an LPG carrier comprises the steps of moving a newly-built LPG carrier and an old LPG carrier to the open sea(ST10), connecting a gas supply pipe(ST20), injecting LPG to the newly-built LPG carrier from the old LPG carrier(ST30), discharging the gas in a tank outside when the pressure change in the tank is in equilibrium(ST40), liquefying the gaseous LPG in the tank(ST50), and carrying the LPG(ST60).
