SUBSTANCE: method used to produce reinforced contact wire for power transmission to overland electrified transport involves placing wire to be reinforced in longitudinal groove pressed out in blank which is then closed by pushing its walls together through cold deformation of blank whereupon groove walls are welded together using, for example, cold plastic deformation method.
