<p>The invention relates to a dry-compressing spindle pump as a dual-shaft positive displacement unit for transporting and compressing gases, comprising a pair of spindle rotors in a compression chamber. The aim of the invention is to construct said pump in a simpler, more cost-effective manner. To achieve this, the pair of spindle rotors consists of a material with a lower thermal expansion coefficient than the material of the pump housing that directly encompasses said pair and the pump housing is configured in such a way that its thermal inertia is adapted to the thermal inertia of the pair of spindle rotors, by a temporal delay to and a restriction of the heat emission. The heat emission for the pump housing is restricted using either the stream of cooling air by means of suitable longitudinal and transversal ribs and/or sheet metal sheathing or screening, or the thermal behaviour of said pump housing is adjusted by determining and distributing the mass for the housing. In addition, the thermal inertia of the pump housing can be increased by means of an external housing jacket and a liquid filling in the intermediate space.</p> |
