The invention provides a plasticizer for amorphous polyester resin which can impart flexibility to the resin without impairing the transparency inherent in the resin and an amorphous polyester resin composition excellent in flexibility, transparency and heat resistance, the plasticizer comprising an ester prepared from a component (Aa) selected from among aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acids (AI), fused−polycyclic aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acids, alicyclic hydroxycarboxylic acids, and so on and a component (Ab) selected from among aliphatic alcohols, alicyclic alcohols, aromatic alcohols, phenol, alkylphenyls, and adducts thereof with alkylene oxides.
