<p>An optic device including an optic chip defining (i) a first wavelength dispersive element (6) for receiving a wavelength-multiplexed input optical signal from an input waveguide (4) and selectively directing the component channels to a respective one of a first array of output waveguides (8); (ii) a second wavelength-dispersive element (16); and (iii) a power-splitting element for directing a minor portion of the power of each component channel of the wavelength-multiplexed input signal to the second wavelength-dispersive element; and a light detecting device (20) for measuring the power of at least one component channel output from the second wavelength dispersive element, wherein the first and second wavelength dispersive elements including overlapping output free propagation regions.</p> |
