FIELD: medicine, cardiology, cardiosurgery. SUBSTANCE: patient with ischemic cardiac disease undergoes an ultrasound testing to evaluate regional contractility of left ventricle. Repeated ultrasound testing for evaluating regional contractility of left ventricle is carried out 2 h later after a single peroral intake of 60 mg trimetazidine (preductal 20, vastarel). In case of viable myocardium one should obtain improved regional contractility at the background of medicinal preparation in departments with initially decreased contractility.
