PURPOSE: A lens position control device of a camera is provided to normally control the position of a movable barrel even when the position of the movable barrel is changed by external force. CONSTITUTION: In a lens position control device of a camera, a zoom lens barrel(410) includes a rear-group lens(L2) of negative power and a front-group lens(L1) of positive power. A drive ring(412) is rotatably supported to the outer periphery of a fixed ring(411) and a front-group lens support ring(413) supporting the front-group lens and a rear-group lens support ring(414) supporting the rear-group lens are engaged on the inner periphery of the fixed ring. A linear guide groove(411a) is formed to the fixed ring in parallel with an optical axis(OA) of the zoom lens barrel. A radial pin(415) disposed to the front-group lens support ring engages with a guide groove(412a) formed to the inner peripheral surface of the drive ring. A gear(417) fixedly engages with a gear(419) of a whole unit-moving motor(418) on the outer periphery of the drive ring.
