FIELD: construction engineering; inspection and test of brick structures. SUBSTANCE: prior to testing material for strength, calibration chart is prepared; to this end, specimens are drilled by means of drills of different radii. During first drilling operation, hole is drilled in specimen by means of auxiliary drill having radius R1 cm, after which this hole is widened by means of main drill of larger radius R2 cm. EFFECT: possibility of testing bricks and brickwork for strength without extracting bricks from structure keeping them intact and suitable for further use. 4 dwg
