The invention relates to a safety contact mat having an upper mat half and a lower mat half with two opposite, interspaced, conductive layers, which are to be brought into contact in order to close an electrical contact. According t o the invention, one mat half is formed by a flat coextrudate (1) of a non- conductive (2) elastomer, of a conductive elastomer (5), and of a conductive woven material (4) that is bordered by said elastomers (2, 5).
