<p>A refrigerator capable of always assuring an optimum filling amount of refrigerant by allowing the amount of refrigerant required by the refrigerator installed at site to be filled, comprising a refrigerating cycle (A) having an outdoor unit (X) with a compressor (1), a condenser (2), and a receiver (3) and an indoor unit (Y) with an expansion valve (4) and an evaporator (5) allowed to communicate with each other through a liquid pipe (8) and a gas pipe (9), wherein refrigerant is filled in the refrigerating cycle (A) while an refrigerant filled operating state in which the liquid pipe allowing the outdoor unit (X) to communicate with the indoor unit (Y) is filled with liquid refrigerant with a specified density is being produced, and the filling of the refrigerant is terminated when the liquid level (L) in the receiver (3) is detected to be a specified position (L0) during the refrigerant filling operation.</p> |
