<p>A data transfer apparatus realizing an appropriate system operation by fetching information on a secondary recording medium as the content transfer destination. When a medium employing its original management method such as a mini disc, for example, is used as a secondary recording medium as a check out destination, a data transfer apparatus side (primary recording medium side) requests the data recording apparatus (secondary recording medium side) to send information on the secondary recording medium and acquires necessary information. The information on the secondary recording medium includes information on whether a secondary recording medium is mounted on the data recording apparatus, name information on the secondary recording medium, name information on content data recorded on the secondary recording medium, capacity information on the secondary recording medium, information on the number of content data sets recorded on the secondary recording medium, and attribute information on the content data recorded on the secondary recording medium.</p> |
