<p>An integrated multipane window sash (10) is fabricated from a sash frame having an inside perimeter (14). An adhesive material (18) is applied to the inside perimeter (14). The adhesive material (18) has sufficient stiffness to function as a mounting structure (18) for glazing panes (20, 22), and may also function as a spacing structure (18). A first glazing pane (20) is mounted to a first side of the adhesive mounting structure (18). A second glazing pane (22) is mounted to a second side of the adhesive mounting structure (18) or to a separate adhesive mounting structure (18). Corresponding methods are also provided for manufacturing an integrated multipane window sash (10) using a window sash frame provided with a glazing pane installation opening accessible from a first side thereof and a glazing pane support surface on a second side thereof.</p> |
