<p>The invention relates to health safety and alert media with tactile and visual writing which are used to identify, communicate and recognise objects and subjects, to indicate locations and to provide walking assistance, the invention being intended for use by the visually impaired, the sighted and persons losing their sight. The inventive device, which comprises a reference description support that can take the form of various sub-devices, is characterised by the use of a standard type of raised or indented writing which appears above the Braille equivalent thereof. In this way, the sighted can read the information visually while the visually impaired can read the same information in a tactile manner, regardless of whether or not said persons can read Braille. According to the invention, the device is an educational and safety tool that allows visually-impaired persons having difficulty mastering Braille to read safely, as well as enabling sighted persons unfamiliar with Braille to become familiar with same and practise the use thereof.</p> |
