PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing a flame resistant bulk molding compound having excellent impregnation characteristic with fillers, appearance, moldability, physical properties and flame resistance. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing a flame resistant bulk molding compound uses 35-55 parts by weight of a bromine-based reactive epoxy-type flame retardant based on 100 parts by weight of resins. Additionally, a mixture of aluminum hydroxide having a particle size of 5-10 micrometers with aluminum hydroxide having a particle size of 40-60 micrometers is added in the amount of 250-500 parts by weight. Further, 45-85 parts by weight of glass fiber is used.
