<p>The invention relates to the method for separating gas mixtures. The inventive method consists in passing a gas mixture through N>1 pairs of vessels, where N is a number of pairs of vessels containing a sorbent in a quantity of Q. Said sorbent exhibits a selectivity with respect to the constituents of the gas mixture, the pairs of vessels alternately operating in adsorption and regeneration modes. The operation of the vessels is time-shifted for the value of T/N, where T is the time of the adsorption of the removed gas mixture. The bypass of the gas mixture is carried out between a vessel which is out of operation and a vessel which is in operation. An enriched mixture is supplied from the output of the vessel operating in adsorption mode to the output of the vessel in operation simultaneously with the supply of the gas mixture to the input thereof. The adsorbed mixture is evacuated from the input and output of the vessel out of operation. The inventive device for carrying out said method is also disclosed. Said invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the separation process of a gas mixture without enlarging the external dimensions of the used device.</p> |
