By substituting an amino acid Pro at the 2−position of endomorphine−1 and endomorphine−2 by 1−aminocyclopropanecarboxylic acid, novel endomorphine derivatives, each having a strong affinity and selectivity for opioid receptors and showing physiological activities of sedation, antianxiety, strain−relaxation, etc. and a resistance against protein decomposition enzymes, are successfully obtained.
