The invention relates to a device for reducing the lag and the dark current in a particle detector, in particular a photon detector. Said device is particularly applicable in radiography and comprises means for converting current pulses, supplied by the detector (2) on receiving particles (4), into voltage pulses, means (14) for detecting a voltage extreme value between a voltage pulse and the next voltage pulse, means of subtracting the extreme value thus detected from said voltage pulse and means for resetting the extreme voltage.
