METHOD FOR TREATING APHAKIA IN CHILDREN

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: G- shaped conjunctival fragment is cut. Scleral incision is carried out 2 mm against the limbus to form a two-stage self-sealed tunnel-like incision of 4.5-5.0 mm length. About 1-3 corneal paracentesis are made depending upon the volume of operative interference. Reconstruction of anterior ocular section is conducted by not widening a surgical access. IOL is implanted. It is made of collagenous copolymer. IOL is implanted right onto a vitreous body or the residues of lenticular capsule. Additional IOL fixation is carried out by suturing it to an iris. Conjunctival fragment is put to its place and fixed with a single coagulate. The method provides the possibility to conduct any reconstructive operations at anterior ocular section, decreases the number of complications and enables to achieve high functional results and improved cosmetic effect. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 ex
