POWER GENERATOR WITH LOW CO2 EMISSIONS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD

The invention relates to a method for decreasing the level of carbon dioxide in the fumes emitted by a power generator which combusts a mixture of a combustive agent and a fuel containing hydrocarbons. According to the inventive method, a gas mixture comprising at least one part of said combustive agent and at least one part of said fumes is compressed and all or at least part of the carbon dioxide present in the compressed gas mixture is eliminated by means of absorption. A fuel is added to the gas mixture, the resulting mixture is burnt, and the fumes from the combustion process are released. The invention also relates to a power generator for implementing said method.
