FIELD: animal breeding. SUBSTANCE: method consists in displacing animal from precutter passage into cutter, the animal being preliminarily (5 min before displacement) injected with neuroleptic, e.g. Rampun, after which follows fixation, anesthetization (2-3 min before cutting) on the site of subsequent cutting using subcutaneous anesthesia with mixture of solutions of adrenaline and 3% novocain at their ratio 10:2 in dose 8-10 ml per one animal. After cutting off antlers, cutting site is anesthetized and disinfected by rubbing in following mixture, wt.%: fired potassium alumen, 60.0- 65.0; anesthesin, 10.0-15.0; naphthalene, 10.0-15.0; and iodoform. EFFECT: reduced loss of animals, preserved integrity of antlers, and suppressed postoperative complications. 3 cl, 1 tbl
