The invention relates to sized glass fibres covered with a sizing composition which is essentially aqueous and comprises a combination of at least one polyurethrane A and at least one polyester B in a weight ratio A/B of less than 3. The glass fibres thus obtained are used to strengthen polymer matrices in order to produce translucent composite materials, for light roofing tiles in particular.
