<p>A thermotropic liquid-crystal polymer characterized by being obtained by copolymerizing the trifunctional hydroxynaphthalenecarboxylic acid represented by the following general formula [I] and/or a reactive derivative thereof with other polymerizable monomer(s); [I] (wherein one of m and n is 1 and the other is 2) and a composition containing the polymer. The thermotropic liquid-crystal polymer or composition gives a molding having reduced anisotropy in mechanical strength and having excellent weld strength.</p> |
