PURPOSE: A method for controlling an alarm of a billing repeater system is provided to quickly transmit a failure of a BMD(Billing Mediation Device) online to an exchange operator, thereby efficiently managing an exchange operation. CONSTITUTION: A billing repeater system initializes a system, and checks a present alarming state, then decides whether a child process is generated(S101,S103,S105). If not, the system checks a shared memory, and decides whether an alarm is generated(S107). If not, the system checks to which type the alarm is generated, and transmits the alarm and cancellation information to an exchange(S109,S111). If the alarm is not generated, the system checks an occupied disk, and decides whether the alarm is generated. If so, the system transmits the alarm and the cancellation information to the exchange. If the child process is generated, the system stands by a message, and compares present alarm information with the message, then collects alarm information to transmit the alarm information to the exchange(S121,S123,S125,S127).
