<p>An electromechanical lock includes a latching assembly (20) adapted to mount to a first structure and a catch piece (90) adapted to mount to a second structure wherein the latching assembly and the catch piece are positionable such that the catch piece can be docked in a receive state in the latching assembly. The latching assembly includes at least one latch element (60) movable between a capture state wherein the catch piece becomes mechanically engaged thereby and a release state wherein the catch piece is disengaged thereby. The latching assembly further includes an arming member (23) wherein in a first position, the arming member engages the latch element to maintain it in the release position; and a biasing element (84) associated with the arming member operative to urge the arming member into the first position.</p> |
