<p>Tetraalkyl- and tetraaryl titanates as well as titanium tetraacylates and chelates in pure or mixed form are prepd. by reaction of TiCl4 with an alkoxy-, aroxy- and/or carboxy cpd. and/or a chelate former (beta-di-ketones, beta-ketoncarboxylic acid esters or 2-oxyaldehydes) with b.pt. >140 degrees C, in the presence of ethylene - or propylene - oxide at 60 degrees C. The resulting alkylene chlorohydrin is removed by distillation.</p> |
