PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a control method for an exhaust emission control device capable of preventing a regeneration failure of the exhaust emission control device by preventing generation of write error of history data into EEPROM at turning off of a power source for the exhaust emission control device for purifying harmful components in the exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device purifies components in the exhaust gas of an engine and performs regeneration processing operation for restoring purifying capacity with the usage of the control history data. Electric energy is determined when the power source is turned off. When it is determined that the electric power required for performing history data rewriting operation for writing the control history data into the EEPROM from RAM of a control device is not secured, the history data rewriting operation is not performed. |
