PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a rare-earth magnet which has excellent surface cleanliness and also has extremely high industrial use value at low cost by subjecting a rare-earth permanent magnet having the metal plating film on its surface to the acid processing. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the rare-earth permanent magnet which has a metal-plated film on its surface, a single-layer or multi-layer film is formed by metal plating containing at least one kind of metal selected such as Ni on the surface of a rare-earth permanent magnet represented as R-T-M-B (R is at least one kind among rare-earth elements including Y, T is Fe, etc., M is at least one kind of element selected such as Ti, providing that 5 wt.%<=R<=40 wt.%, 50 wt.%<=T<=90 wt.%, 0 wt.%<=M<=8 wt.%, and 0.2 wt.%<=B<=8 wt.%), and then subjected to acid processing in a solution of at least one kind of acid selected such as nitric acid. |
