PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and positively position a sensor to a coder so as to face the coder with a prescribed opening distance from the coder while preventing the relative movement of the sensor to a bearing, that is, the coder. SOLUTION: This assembly is provided with the bearing 1 provided with an information detecting device, and a housing 2 into which the bearing 1 is fitted. The housing 2 is arranged to allow the bearing 1 to be radially fixed. The housing 2 has a first means 19 for axially fixing the bearing 1 in one direction. The assembly is further provided with a piece 20 for fitting the bearing 1 to the inside of the housing 2. The piece 20 is provided with a device for holding the sensor 12 and a fixed race 3 to each other in an axis direction, in combination with a second means 26 arranged to cooperate with a complementary means 27 disposed on the housing 2 to positively fix the bearing 1 at least in the other direction. |
